Reports are coming out that Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer made a deal with Senate Republicans late Wednesday night to leave four essential court of appeals vacancies without confirmation. Our courts and ability to attain justice for all are at stake—we cannot afford to leave any pending judicial nominees behind for a Trump administration to fill.
The Circuit Courts of Appeals carry great influence and are essential to protecting our rights and liberties, especially in advance of the next Trump administration and Republican-led Congress.
We must continue to demand that the Senate Majority Leader fight to fill every vacancy.
While it was good to see the Senate working late Wednesday night to advance a number of district court nominees, no pending nominee should be abandoned.
Call Senate Majority Leader Schumer and demand that he fights to protect our circuit courts! >>
Now is not the time to be making deals that will have serious ramifications for our rights.
