Dear John,

I’m reaching out to ask for your assistance after one of our warehouses in Lebanon caught on fire this weekend due to an electrical storm.

The warehouse contained vital supplies that in-country staff rely on to serve thousands of refugees, displaced families and others suffering from the hardships of the area.

Local firefighters, staff and neighbors acted quickly to put out the blaze, saving a good portion of the humanitarian supplies, but some of the much needed supplies were destroyed. Time is of the essence to get replacement aid in the country as soon as possible.

The supplies that were lost in the blaze — food, hygiene items, clothing and other lifesaving materials — are desperately needed right now to support those who have already endured unimaginable hardship. Everything in the warehouse was actively being distributed to meet the dire needs of suffering people throughout the region.

The staff are so thankful for the aid you help provide because it helps produce many opportunities to demonstrate the love of Christ and to share the gospel. This aid isn’t just opening doors for the gospel, it’s swinging them wide open!

Our team is working tirelessly to assess the damage and begin the process of recovery, but your help is urgently needed to replace what was lost and continue the mission – to relieve suffering, restore dignity and reveal hope.

As you know, the people of Lebanon are currently caught in the crosshairs of war. There are many innocent victims in the country that need help and hope. And as winter approaches, the already harsh living conditions are only expected to get worse.

As one staff member shared with me after the fire: “The need is great. Families were still coming today seeking warm clothes for the winter.”

Within the last two weeks a large shipping container, provided by partners like you, arrived in the country to support relief efforts. That aid has already begun being distributed as the need is so great. Staff have been out on several distribution trips these past few days.

We cannot do this without you. The people we serve — families who have fled violence, conflict, and disaster — are counting on us. This warehouse, and the aid in it, is a lifeline. And with your support, we can get the warehouse back to 100% operational, meeting physical needs and sharing the love of Christ.

The fire was a setback, but staff are more committed than ever to use this critical aid to share the gospel. One shared, “We’re fighting a huge spiritual battle here. We are determined by God’s grace to continue the relief work among the displaced and getting the center reopened before Christmas.”

Please consider a gift today to rush aid to Lebanon. Your generosity will provide immense opportunities to relieve suffering and to share gospel hope.

Please continue to pray for our staff. As they actively serve the displaced, suffering families, victims of war and others, they need your prayers now more than ever. As my staff friend shared, “we’re fighting a huge spiritual battle here.”

During this season of thankfulness, I truly am thankful for partners like you. When there are people hurting, when devastating events occur, when our hearts break for the brokenness in our world, I am encouraged by you.

Thank you for considering this opportunity to rush aid to Lebanon to meet an urgent need.

Serving together,

P.S. After a fire destroyed some humanitarian aid in one of our warehouses in Lebanon, emergency replacement aid is critically needed. You can help with a gift today. Any amount will help meet pressing needs and open doors for the gospel to be shared with those desperate for hope.
