Verdict and Sentencing in the Murder of Laken Riley
On Wednesday, Jose Ibarra, who brutally took the life of 22-year-old Laken Riley was found guilty on 10 counts, including murder and kidnapping. He was sentenced to life without the possibility of parole by an Athens-Clarke County Superior Court judge.
The court's decision came after emotional victim impact statements from Laken Riley’s family and friends. The family's powerful testimonies highlighted Laken's vibrant life and her contributions to the community through her nursing career and mission work, amplifying the devastating loss felt by all who knew her.
This verdict brings a measure of closure and justice, yet it starkly reminds us of the vital need for border security. Laken Riley’s death is a direct result of the negligence and failure of the Biden-Harris administration. We praise God that they will be ousted from the White House on January 20th. In Georgia, we will continue to fight to protect our borders to make sure that what happened to Laken Riley never happens again.
Governor Kemp released the following statement:
Governor Kemp Elected Chair of the Republican Governors Association
We are thrilled to congratulate Governor Brian Kemp on his new role as Chair of the Republican Governors Association (RGA) for 2025! Governor Kemp's proven track record of principled conservatism and effective leadership has prepared him well to steer the RGA. His commitment to commonsense policies that prioritize families and businesses reflects the values we champion here at Frontline. As Governor Kemp steps onto this national stage, we can’t wait for the positive impacts his leadership will have, not only in Georgia but across the nation.
Here's to a future of strengthened governance and continued success under his guidance!
Speaker Mike Johnson Stands for Truth
Frontline applauds House Speaker Mike Johnson for his firm stance on protecting the integrity of single-sex facilities at the Capitol. As Congress welcomes new members, including someone who identifies as transgender, it's crucial to uphold biological truths in our public spaces. This commitment to privacy, safety, and truth speaks volumes. We are grateful for leaders like Speaker Johnson who stand unapologetically for these fundamental truths.

Frontline Hiring Church Ambassador Network Director
Frontline is looking for someone to not only spearhead CAN's strategic direction but also nurture a thriving community of churches committed to impactful ministry and policy engagement.
If you're driven by a desire to see faith actively shaping our world and have the leadership chops to make it happen, we'd love to hear from you. This role is a chance to make a lasting impact, both in the church community and in the halls of government.
Georgia needs a thriving, growing Church Ambassador Network. While the CAN Director needs to be a biblical leader with a strong spiritual foundation, this director does not have to be a pastor. We need a visionary with a strong ability to recruit and inspire others, partner with government officials to identify solutions, and elevate the spiritual temperature of policy-making.
