Dear Illinois Republican Family,
In a significant shift, majority of Illinois counties leaned toward the Illinois Republican Party in recent elections. This remarkable outcome represents more than just numbers—it amplifies the voices of citizens standing up to declare, “Enough is enough.”
Four years ago, President Trump’s administration delivered prosperity through stronger border security, lower costs for families, and a steadfast commitment to individual liberties. Today, Illinois Republicans are determined to reignite that vision, bringing hope and opportunity back to our communities.
Our state has made considerable progress in attracting new voters and challenging the billionaire Democrat governor, whose ambitions now reach far beyond Illinois. As Governor Pritzker sets his sights on the White House, we must remain united and resolute in rejecting the reckless tax-and-spend policies threatening Illinois' future. Even his own Office of Management and Budget forecasts a $3.2 billion state budget deficit for FY26—an unsustainable burden for hardworking taxpayers.
Instead of advocating for and supporting Illinois families, Pritzker is picking fights with President Trump to garner national attention. His top priority now? Prioritizing illegal border crossers and hundreds of millions in taxpayer spending to house and support them, all at the expense of Illinois families. With momentum on our side, we are strengthening our foundation for future success. Our efforts in early voting and vote-by-mail have already yielded tangible results, bringing more Republicans to the polls early and increasing turnout. Together, we’ve shown remarkable resilience, standing firm against Governor Pritzker’s millions.
This week, I want to spotlight the exceptional work of two County Chairs and our State House caucus who exemplify the dedication of Illinois Republicans.
First, congratulations Will County Chair Christina Clausen and the entire Will County team for their outstanding GOTV and Election Integrity efforts. Will County came incredibly close to flipping for President Trump and secured a critical victory with the election of Annette Parker as the new Will County Clerk, ensuring greater integrity in our elections.
Second, I want to recognize LaSalle County Chair Larry Smith for leading his team to a successful election. In Larry’s own words:
“LaSalle County had a very successful November 5th General Election. Of the 34 candidates who touched our county, 28 won their races. Some of our victors ran unopposed—often because potential challengers knew they couldn’t beat our strong Republican candidates. Others won decisively in LaSalle County but were defeated in multi-county races. I’m incredibly proud of our team, who worked tirelessly and followed the principle that ‘no one can do everything, but everybody can do something."
I want to wrap up my shout-outs by congratulating the Illinois House Republicans and Leader Tony McCombie on her re-election as House Republican Leader for the 104th General Assembly. We had some nail-biter victories in defending key legislative seats, including those of Rep. Brandun Schweizer, Rep. Marty McLaughlin, and Rep. Amy Grant.
For the first time in two generations, the margin between the two parties in the House is narrow. This shift reflects the growing frustration of Illinois voters with the Democrats' majority rule, radical progressive agenda, and relentless tax hikes. I deeply thank our Illinois House Republicans for standing strong and holding the line, especially during this veto session.
Thanks to efforts like these, Illinois Republicans have significantly cut the Democrat margin for President Trump and achieved historic turnout through early voting and vote-by-mail strategies. I look forward to highlighting more of our Republican leaders across Illinois.
The groundwork for Republican success has been laid. Now is the time to heal our communities and turn Illinois red. Together, we can secure a brighter future for our state.
Enjoy a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving holiday with your family and I look forward to reconnecting with you in December.
