Dear Friend,
Families must be able to make their own health care decisions, free from interference from politicians and religious extremists. Bans on health care for trans youth are discrimination, period – and that’s what we’ll say during a rally at the U.S. Supreme Court next month.
Join us in front of the Supreme Court in Washington, D.C., on December 4 and raise your voice for trans rights: [link removed]
AU is organizing staff and supporters to join the rally for as long as you're able from 9:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Our friends at ACLU and Lambda Legal are planning the rally during the oral arguments in U.S. v. Skrmetti. At stake in the case are laws in Tennessee and Kentucky that intentionally discriminate against transgender youth by denying them medications that are prescribed for other youth. AU and allies filed a friend-of-the-court brief in this case in support of parents with transgender children.
This is a key moment to be in solidarity with trans youth and their families against cruel and discriminatory health care bans and rally for our shared freedoms.
Friends and family are welcome. Please sign up to let us know if you're available that day and interested in rallying with us: [link removed]
