It seems Blue State Governors are shamelessly holding residents hostage as they dig their partisan heels in to defend lawless Sanctuary policies and preempt Trump’s promise for mass deportation, starting with the half million criminals of record and fourteen thousand murderers.
Despite America’s overwhelming mandate to address illegal immigration—recognized as a top issue —eighteen Democratic governors are doubling down on defending their states’ sanctuary policies, with five new states recently added to the list. These leaders are actively preparing to block federal enforcement operations aimed at executing arrests and deportations. With every state now feeling the impact of porous borders and unchecked immigration, the resistance to enforcing national laws leaves millions of Americans concerned about safety, fiscal responsibility, and the erosion of federal authority.
Eighteen States Now Sanctuary States-All Democrat Governors
California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Massachusetts, Oregon, Rhode Island, Utah, Vermont, and Washington have long been among the thirteen sanctuary states.
The five states of Arizona, Maryland, Michigan, North Carolina, and Pennsylvania have joined the fight against Trump on border and immigration, despite Trump winning all states except Maryland. This brings the original count of thirteen lawless ‘Sanctuary States’ to eighteen.
North Dakota, under Republican Governorship, has a poorly written ban on Sanctuary cities, and unfortunately, none of the corrections facilities cooperate with ICE currently.
An astonishing 225 counties or cities with sanctuary policies, including our nation's capital, are spread across 36 states!
These states contain at least one city or county with sanctuary policies, including Arizona, California, Colorado, Connecticut, District of Columbia, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.
WE HAVE A BIG PROBLEM!
These lawless Governors and cities are not only fighting against Federal Laws, but they are also fighting against the American taxpayers who overwhelmingly support mass deportation and desire actual border and immigration enforcement!
Sanctuary states and cities, while claiming to offer refuge, inadvertently create safe zones for criminals, including sex traffickers, who exploit the lack of cooperation with federal enforcement. As cooperative states crack down on such heinous activities, traffickers will inevitably migrate to sanctuary jurisdictions where enforcement is obstructed.
Meanwhile, the fentanyl crisis, worsened by unchecked border crossings, continues to kill hundreds of thousands of Americans annually. It’s a double-edged failure that threatens public safety and devastates communities nationwide.
Mapping of activity by the violent Venezuelan gang Tren de Aragua shows a troubling pattern: their operations are concentrated in sanctuary cities. This highlights the unintended consequences of sanctuary policies, which may inadvertently provide safe havens for transnational criminal organizations.
It’s time to fight back while the wind is at our back and hold every state accountable to fully cooperate with ICE to remove the half million dangerous criminals off our streets and get them out of our expensive prisons to be sent home. It’s time for comprehensive border and immigration enforcement to remove the millions of unqualified illegals that have entered the US since Biden took office, remembering that US taxpayers are fully subsidizing 87%!
