As we face our mid-quarter fundraising deadline tonight, I wanted to take a moment to remind you what’s at stake in this race for Mississippi’s next U.S. Senator. Perhaps the biggest issue on the line, especially during this pandemic, is our health care. 

My dad, Mike Espy, will take his lifelong experience in public service and put it towards creating a state that works for everyone. My brothers and I always say that there’s no one who loves Mississippi more than Dad.

He believes in fighting for long-awaited Medicaid expansion as well as protecting and improving the Affordable Care Act, so that every Mississippian can get the health care they need without worrying about how much it costs.

Our opponent, Cindy Hyde-Smith, is against both of these things. She’s done nothing to advocate for Medicaid expansion, and she joins Mitch McConnell and Trump in calling for the complete destruction of the Affordable Care Act, which would leave millions of Americans and 100,000 Mississippians at risk of losing their insurance coverage.

My dad cares deeply for this state and its people. He’ll protect health care in the U.S. Senate and he’s ready to work on both sides of the aisle to make it affordable and accessible for everyone. But he can only do it with your help.
