Oswego’s Public Works crew works diligently to keep our roads safe. Our snow crews work tirelessly to salt and plow streets, but we need your help to keep things running smoothly—and to save yourself from winter hassles! Here’s how you can prepare:
- Secure your mailbox before the ground freezes.
- Shovel parkway snow near your driveway’s apron so plows don’t leave extra slush blocking your cars.
- Keep snow piles in your yard, not the street!
Plowing Responsibilities:
- Oswego Public Works: Main roads (Douglas Rd., Boulder Hill Pass) first, then neighborhood streets.
- State of Illinois (IDOT): Routes 30, 31, 34, 71 & 25.
- Kendall County: Orchard Rd., Grove Rd. & Plainfield Rd.
- Oswego Township: Roads in unincorporated areas.
Remember: Plow visibility is limited. Stay safe, keep your distance and remind kids to steer clear of the plow trucks.
