Thank you!

In the final count, our campaign won 122,389 votes. Only 268 votes, or 0.03% behind the incumbent President of the Board of Education. That wasn’t enough this time, but we made it the closest race in SF Board of Education history!

I feel proud and thankful. As a grassroots campaign, we didn’t run on City Hall experience, or connections as employee of a political organization. This was about concern for the fiscal disaster, harmful policies, and mismanagement in our school system; and a plan to bring relevant skills and experience to help. We received record-breaking support from people contributing to the campaign, and engaged far more volunteers than we saw from other campaigns. My heart is filled with gratitude for my wife and family who helped and carried so much, for the elected officials and organizations that believed in the change we were trying to bring, and for all of those who joined in support, volunteered, spread the word, and voted.

Turning to the future, we have some great people who will be on the 2025 Board. I’m proud of Parag Gupta, and Jaime Huling whom I ran my campaign with. Yet the problems we face will take years to solve. I’ll be continuing to do more, and sharing major updates on that path.

Thank you!
