John,

Throughout this crisis, Donald Trump and Republicans in Congress have
failed to provide essential workers with the protection, benefits, and
security they need to keep themselves safe while they try to pay the bills
and help the rest of us.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren and Rep. Ro Khanna have a plan to change that. Their
new legislation is called the Essential Workers Bill of Rights, and it
would guarantee essential workers get the protective gear they need,
provide more funding for child-care and health care, protect collective
bargaining agreements, and protect whistleblowers who shine the light on
companies forcing people to work in unsafe conditions.

These protections are absolutely critical. Already, companies are putting
profit in front of the health and safety of their workers.

What we've seen since the pandemic began is bailouts for big corporations.
Their corporate donors have an interest in protecting their profit
margins. When it comes to delivering directly for people, the only thing
that's worked to get McConnell on board, is huge public support.

That means we need a huge show of grassroots support for this bill to
force Democrats to stand strong and make sure it is a non-negotiable part
of the next relief package.

Thanks for raising your voice to protect essential workers. We can’t allow
companies to put profit in front of the health and safety of the people
keeping our communities running on the frontlines.
