Dear Friend,
Cece was starving when she came to PAWS Chicago. She was literally filling her stomach with sticks and dirt.

Thankfully, Cece’s story ends happily as you can see in the photo below. She’s safe today in a PAWS Chicago foster home, getting the food she needs and the love she relishes. She seeks out soft bedding—it breaks our hearts to think she may have never been in a warm bed before.
Pets like Cece are suffering across the city. Everywhere we look pet abandonment is increasing. Chicago Animal Care and Control, the city pound, is overwhelmed. They’ve taken in 1,884 more animals this year than last, a 17% increase. In the first two weeks of November alone, 564 animals appeared at their door—surrendered by owners, or found wandering the street as strays. And every day PAWS steps up to help even more pets in need.
Together, we have the power to save these innocent lives. Please donate today ([link removed]) . Our $50,000 holiday match is activated so your donation saves twice the pets right now.

These stories don’t happen without the support of our entire PAWS community. And we’re so grateful for you. If you haven’t already, please join us in protecting homeless and at-risk pets this holiday season.
