* California Governor Gavin Newsom has called a special legislative session to craft “Trump-proof” laws and bolster legal resources at the state level to protect climate action, reproductive freedom, and more.
* Washington State Attorney General Bob Ferguson is assembling a coalition of state leaders to preemptively challenge Trump’s extreme federal policies in court.
* Democratic governors in Colorado and Illinois are leading a new initiative, “Governors Safeguarding Democracy,” to help states protect the rule of law from Trump’s fascist agenda.
