My colleagues in Congress have bestowed many honors on me. But in the Congress, my greatest honor comes from you — to step foot on the Floor of the House and say that I speak for the people of San Francisco. Thank you, San Francisco, for your vote and the continued opportunity to be your voice in the Congress.

To have earned the overwhelming support of voters from every community of our beautifully diverse city in my re-election reflects and strengthens my commitment to always serve each and every San Franciscan with respect, humility, compassion and gratitude:

• Continuing to deliver jobs, resources and increased opportunity for San Francisco families
• Fighting to Save Our Health Care from Republican sabotage and attack
• Defending our Constitution, our fundamental rights and freedoms and our shared Democratic principles

With your help, Democratic House members and challengers ran against the tide in this election and won decisive victories in swing seats — and thanks to you, we will have leverage to protect your health care, rights and freedoms in the new Congress.
