Attend a big game meeting this winter
Hunters and landowners, we want to hear from you. We invite you to join us for Nebraska Game and Parks' public meetings this winter, in which you can offer feedback on big game information.
Meetings are scheduled in each Game and Parks district, with two virtual options via Zoom in January. Each session includes presentations by biologists and time for questions. We hope to see you there!

6 Nebraska state parks to be thankful for
Thanksgiving is almost here, and while many of us can name blessings like friends, family and our communities, it's also a good time to count the blessings of our outdoor spaces. Here are six Nebraska state parks, most a little off the beaten path, that offer much to be thankful for.

Check your boat, dock or lift for zebra mussels
As cold weather approaches and Nebraskans remove their watercraft, docks and other boating equipment from the water, we encourage boat owners to check their equipment for zebra mussels. Zebra mussels are highly invasive and cause great damage when introduced into a water body.

Fishing pier to be built at Willow Creek SRA
A fishing pier is being built near the boat ramp west of the campground at the Willow Creek State Recreation Area near Pierce. For public safety, the construction area, parking lot, and boat ramp are closed temporarily.

Magic show coming to Mahoney State Park
Enjoy family-friendly Omaha magician Ryan Chandler as he performs at Eugene T. Mahoney State Park on Nov. 30 for the first of several dates. Chandler, who has appeared on television with magicians Penn and Teller, will perform his show “Up Close & Magical” at 7:30 p.m. at Kountze Memorial Theater.
