Friend,

Thanksgiving is getting closer. And if you’re like me, you’re thinking about
turkey, mashed potatoes, maybe Grandma’s famous pie recipe!

**What else comes to my mind? You**. Your kindness and generosity have
brought relief to people across the country, and a pathway through difficult
times.

But here’s the hard truth: For many people, Thanksgiving will come and go this
year without a warm meal or even a place to call home. There are parents
worrying right now how they’ll **afford food on the table, or** **keep their
kids safe and warm - and housed - as the nights grow colder.**
