Sarah McBride didn’t run for Congress to fight about bathrooms. She ran to fight for Delawareans. But that didn’t stop the MAGA GOP from announcing an anti-trans bathroom ban at the Capitol in an effort to distract from the real issues facing this country.
We know what this political stunt really is: a blatant attempt from the extreme MAGA right to distract from their chaotic caucus, Donald Trump’s unqualified nominees, and their dangerous Project 2025 agenda. Full stop. Mike Johnson and the right-wing professional provocateurs in the House are hellbent on fighting about bathrooms and manufacturing culture wars. Meanwhile, Sarah is focused on what an overwhelming majority of voters in Delaware elected her to do: build bridges and find solutions to bring down the costs of housing, health care, and child care. That’s how Sarah led the successful effort to pass paid medical and family leave, raise the minimum wage, and expand health care access as State Senator in Delaware. And that’s exactly the results-driven approach she’s bringing to Washington — and she won’t let extremists slow down her efforts.
