In 2016, wanting to help their teenage daughter who was suffering from anxiety and depression, an Ohio mother and father took
her to a psychiatric hospital, where she was “diagnosed” with gender dysphoria, a condition where a child feels uncomfortable
with their physical sex.
At that time, this young woman wanted to begin hormone therapy, but her parents encouraged their daughter to seek an alternative
solution.
Studies suggest that in some transgender patients there is a higher rate of blood clots, strokes, and heart attacks, not to
mention the obvious feelings and implications any parent would have when a child suffering from depression claimed they wanted
to change genders.
Ultimately, this mother and father refused to pay for their daughter’s “gender transition” to become a man.
In the eyes of the state — and big government — this made the parents “unfit” to care for their daughter because they didn’t
support giving her dangerous hormone treatments and agree to let her change her gender.
So the government took away custody of their daughter and charged them with abuse and neglect. They were labeled as “bigots”
and “hateful” by the press and on social media.
Together, we must stand with these families and DEMAND that their state respect their parental rights and their

This Ohio couple experienced what no parent should ever have to go through -- and their fight continues to this day.
Meanwhile, the anti-family left is convinced that this is what Americans want -- a radical, uncompromising transgender policy
that will rip children from the arms of their parents if they dare to do what is best for their child.
But you and I know that’s simply not true. Strong and loving families are the backbone of American society, and we must fight to
defend them!

But that doesn’t matter, because their story could be any of ours.

“transition” to a different gender..

We can’t let this case in Ohio set the precedent for this nightmare scenario. We must stand up, draw a line in the sand, and
declare loud and clear:
