Yesterday, the Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota (ILCM) shared an inspiring story about one of our clients, Morris, finding a temporary pathway into lifesaving healthcare, offering him a second chance despite his uncertain legal status. For some, U.S. citizenship is the ultimate goal. While it is out of reach for some of our clients, ILCM continues to work to identify every possible pathway to stability. Every day, we celebrate our successes:

* Clients who have achieved U.S. citizenship and voted to make their voices heard in this election;

* Clients who now have permission to work and can receive access to healthcare;

* Clients who finally have green cards and can travel to their home countries to hug grandparents and parents they couldn't visit for decades; and

* Clients who have bravely survived domestic violence and continue to be caregivers for their children with resilience;

* All of our clients who have inspired us.

We know that the path to U.S. citizenship is complex, often nearly impossible to navigate, and at times, simply not an option. For over 28 years, ILCM has been representing and advocating for immigrants as they navigate the long, complicated process of becoming a U.S. citizen. Regardless of any threats to immigration policy, we will continue to do so.
