THEN: Barr completely DISMISSED charges against Michael Flynn, even though Flynn confessed to lying to the FBI several times.

NOW: Nearly 2,000 former Department of Justice officials have signed a letter demanding that William Barr resigns for politicizing and corrupting the integrity of the Justice Department. And we're going to join them in their call by doing the same.

We've been playing this game of corruption and cronyism with Bill Barr for too long. The rule of law means nothing to a man who seems happy to see Donald Trump become an absolute monarch.

He has denied our nation closure on Donald Trump's dealing with the Russians, he has waded into courtrooms to give cushier sentences to friends of Trump, and now he's joining the legal teams of accused traitors and outright dismissing momentous cases -- all to protect the president politically.

Bill Barr is an enemy of justice and a corrupting influence in our democracy. He'll lie and misrepresent as often as he needs to serve Trump's deranged political whims. He has undermined the integrity and authority of the Department of Justice and must be ousted immediately.
