John,

School is meant to prepare our children for their roles in public life and as the next generation of active participants in our democracy. To understand their future and the future of this nation, it’s essential that they learn from honest and accurate curricula that do not erase the truthful histories of our country. This includes being able to see themselves reflected, rather than excluded, from the narrative of America. The work that Race Forward does through HEAL Together makes this a promise.

HEAL (Honest Education Action & Leadership) Together is a movement of students, educators, elected officials, and parents in school districts across the United States who believe that an honest, accurate, and fully-funded public education is the foundation for a just, multiracial democracy. Through our continued efforts, we’ve engaged the media, members of local school communities, academics, and government workers to take action on behalf of public education in more than 25 states.

With public education under threat, the work of HEAL Together is critical. And communities are in even greater need of supports. So we’re coming to you today to ask for a donation to support the future work of HEAL Together.

GIVE TODAY

We also hope you’ll visit our toolbox to take advantage of the toolkits and trainings we’ve built to support the leaders driving school-district campaigns on the ground. We could not do this work without the time and money invested by everyday people like you, every step of the way.

Show your support for honest, equitable, and fully-funded public education. Donate today.

Sincerely,

Timarie Harrigan

Vice President, Development and Partnerships
