Dear Friend,
As Colorado Attorney General, I will always prioritize protecting our land, air, and water–and meeting the challenges of climate change.
Last month, I filed an amicus brief to the U.S. Supreme Court, on behalf of 16 State Attorneys General, to stop a project that would transport hundreds of thousands of barrels of crude oil daily along the Colorado River.

This proposal poses serious risks and threatening consequences, drawing widespread opposition from throughout Colorado, especially our mountain communities. You can read more about my fight here [[link removed]] .
I’m also leading the effort of State AGs to hold accountable the producers of PFAS, known as “forever chemicals,” which cause significant public health risks and contaminate our groundwater.
Companies like DuPont have long marketed PFAS, while concealing their dangers. We are now suing them and other companies responsible for compromising our public health.
Our work on protecting our water remains top of mind. After the U.S. Supreme Court gutted the federal Clean Water Act, we worked on a state law to uphold water quality standards. And we are committed to ensuring it is implemented effectively. Moreover, if and when the Trump Administration seeks to undermine and roll back key protections of our land, air, and water, we will be ready to protect Colorado and take legal action where and when appropriate.
Thanks for supporting me in doing this critical work.
Phil
