Every day, billions of animals are subjected to unimaginable amounts of pain and suffering. In factory farms, animals like pigs and chickens are crammed into tiny cages, forced to live in conditions so horrific that they eat, stand, and sleep in their own filth. Wild animals, like the endangered macaque and the Asian elephant, are violently torn away from their homes and forced to work as entertainers. Animals around the world are being cruelly exploited for profit and treated as mere commodities.
This relentless exploitation not only causes immense suffering but also disrupts the delicate balance of ecosystems, contributing to the climate crisis and biodiversity loss, and fuels antibiotic resistance and disease. When animals suffer, our world suffers—we suffer.
