John—

Here at NWLC, our work to protect and defend our rights never stops, and we’re in this fight for the long haul.
We’re in a critical window to defend our rights, and we need your support. [[link removed]] We’re working to block unqualified and dangerous nominees to Trump’s cabinet including:

* Rep. Matt Gaetz’s nomination as attorney general. Matt Gaetz is not only utterly unqualified to run the Department of Justice but was recently under investigation for sex trafficking, by the same department he hopes to lead. His public statements and legislative record demonstrate his contempt for women. Moreover, he was one of the organizers of the January 6 rally that ultimately turned into a violent insurrection. * Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s nomination to the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). RFK Jr.’s nomination to lead HHS when he has time and time again promoted dangerous public health disinformation would be a direct threat to public health. We need someone who believes in science, not someone with a long history of spreading conspiracy theories and lies. Donate now >>> [[link removed]]
* Pete Hegseth’s nomination to the Department of Defense. Pete Hegseth never held a high position when he was in the National Guard nor led a large organization. He also opposes women in combat roles and has said that, "The dumbest phrase on planet Earth in the military is 'our diversity is our strength.'" On top of his anti-women, racist, and anti-LGBTQIA+ comments, he has been accused of sexual assault. Hegseth would be unqualified and a dangerous pick to lead our country’s military. Donate now >>> [[link removed]]
* Linda McMahon to lead the Department of Education. Linda McMahon has no background in public education, and she is being sued for enabling child sex abuse. This pick fails students and shows Trump’s complete indifference to creating safe and inclusive schools where every student has equal opportunity to education, no matter who they are or where they live. We need someone who understands what it takes to help every student thrive. Donate now >>> [[link removed]]
Join us with a donation to fuel our work in the coming months and years. [[link removed]]

Subject: How we’re fighting back
Fighting for gender justice in the courts, in public policy, and in our society.
Justice for her. Justice for all.

Dear John,
Our rights are in danger if Donald Trump’s stated agenda becomes a reality. With 68 days left before Donald Trump returns to the White House, we have no time to lose to do everything we can to protect and expand the fundamental rights of women, girls, and LGBTQIA+ people.
Here’s how we’re fighting back right now:
* Urging President Biden and the Senate to confirm judges to fill all federal judicial vacancies. Trump judges from his previous administration have given way for presidential immunity, struck down Roe v. Wade , and served their own personal political interests. Our rights and democracy depend on fair and impartial judges who are committed to civil rights to provide a critical check on abuses of power. We need the Senate to treat this with the urgency it demands and act immediately to confirm judges at every level who will protect our democracy. Donate now >>> [[link removed]]
* Advocating for immediate executive actions. We’re advocating for executive actions that President Biden and federal agencies can take immediately to expand and protect our civil rights in the weeks ahead, including protecting access to contraception and abortion, as well as ensuring safe and inclusive schools and support for LGBTQIA+ students. Donate now >>> [[link removed]]
* Pushing for critical funding with the current Congress. We’re working with leaders in the current Congress to ensure that any appropriations legislation or disaster relief that is passed by the end of the year includes critical funding, especially for child care. We’re also making sure that the National Defense Authorization Act passes with expanded birth control access and without harmful riders that would hurt transgender service members and transgender children of service members. Donate now >>> [[link removed]]
We know you’re counting on us in the coming days, months, and years, but we’re also counting on you to be with us in this fight for the long haul. Our work to defend our rights in this critical window has already begun, but it will continue with your support. Join us with a donation to power the fight against Project 2025—a radical conservative agenda that calls for consolidating executive power and bypassing Congress. [[link removed]]
With our collective power we can challenge and hold those accountable who push dangerous policies and rhetoric.
