It’s officially Give to the Max Day, and this year, your support for the Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota (ILCM) is more urgent than ever. The recent election has left our immigrant communities uncertain and vulnerable with the threats of mass deportation and upending programs like Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) and Temporary Protected Status (TPS). A day like today is important for us to come together and take action. Our Community Defense team, who have been working in deportation defense since 2017, is ready to face a rise in need for legal representation and help clients remain with their families and build safe lives in Minnesota. We have an opportunity for you to help us respond to this need:

By supporting ILCM this Give to the Max Day, you’ll help immigrants and refugees in Minnesota navigate the challenges of uncertain policies, secure legal status, and overcome barriers to work authorization and citizenship. You’ll be helping them achieve their dreams. Your support allows ILCM to continue our work so that our clients can improve their lives, giving them and their families the opportunity for a safe and sustainable future in Minnesota. 

With your support, we can pursue any pathway to citizenship possible for our clients and celebrate their steps to a more secure and happy life including: 

• Those who now have permission to work and can receive access to healthcare;
• Those who finally have green cards and can therefore travel to their home countries to hug grandparents and parents they couldn’t visit for decades; and 
• Those who are now U.S. citizens and can vote.
