Don Young has been running for office for over half a century. It’s not easy to compete with that level of name recognition, but we’re already making tremendous progress. We have more contributions than any campaign in Alaska’s history and have more cash on hand at this point in the race than any of Don Young’s past opponents.

The numbers show that if Alaskans learn who Alyse is and what she envisions for our future, we will win. But that message doesn’t spread itself overnight. It takes persistence and hard work.

We need to hire experienced staff; create and run TV, radio and digital ads; print and send mailers; and of course, send emails like this. As Alyse’s finance director, I’ve crunched the numbers and have a budget that will make all of that possible, but it relies on hitting every one of our fundraising goals.
