North Carolina Supreme Court GOP candidate challenges 60K ballots

  • As the recount in North Carolina’s state Supreme Court race begins, Republican candidate Jefferson Griffin has challenged the validity of tens of thousands of ballots statewide.


  • One of two Democrats on the seven-member high court, Associate Justice Allison Riggs is locked into a tight race with Griffin, who’s currently an appeals court judge.

Pennsylvania courts rule to block some ballots, count others in three counties

  • A Pennsylvania court denied a petition in Philadelphia County from Democrats to get 2,073 provisional ballots counted in the general election.


  • A state court rejected a GOP attempt to get 58 provisional ballots in Chester County thrown out, and another court granted the GOP's request to disqualify 65 mail-in and provisional ballots in Monroe County.
