Public Charge Rule Published

This week, the Trump Administration published the final “public charge” rule that aims to prevent millions of immigrant families from accessing health care and other programs or risk denial of lawful permanent status in the United States. As co-chairs of the Protecting Immigrant Families (PIF) campaign with the National Immigration Law Center, CLASP is actively involved in fighting the new rule, explaining its implications to advocates and others, and discussing the issue with the news media

Mississippi Worksite Raids Leave Hundreds of Children Stranded Without Parents and Raise Concerns About ICE Policy

CLASP responded to last week’s series of worksite raids in Mississippi, resulting in the arrest of nearly 700 individuals and leaving many children stranded when they arrived home from school. We published a statement, and Olivia Golden was quoted in U.S. News and World Report.
