Dear John,
As we stand at a critical juncture in our nation's history, I wanted to share with you an important development that emphasizes the vital work we're doing at The Claremont Institute's Center for Constitutional Jurisprudence.
Recently, our legal team, led by Dr. John Eastman, submitted an amicus curiae brief to the Supreme Court in defense of Tennessee's law protecting children from irreversible “gender transition” medical procedures. This law stands as a xxxxxx against ideological agendas that seek to undermine parental rights and the well-being of our children.
Claremont’s brief emphasizes a fundamental truth: parents have a natural and constitutional right to direct the care and upbringing of their children. This right is deeply rooted in the natural law, the history and traditions of our nation, and anchored in the Privileges or Immunities Clause of the Fourteenth Amendment. The right of parents is not, however, absolute. They have no right to abuse their children, for example, and the state has a responsibility to protect children, as Tennessee has done in this case, from an egregious form of abuse--sterilization and permanent mutilation.
The challenges we face are significant. Powerful interests are organizing and acting to erode these foundational principles, promoting policies that could cause permanent harm to our children. But with your steadfast support, we are actively working to ensure that the Constitution remains a living safeguard for all Americans.
Now, more than ever, we need your help to continue this crucial fight.
Your generous contribution enables us to:
- Defend parental rights in the highest courts of the land.
- Promote constitutional originalism through scholarly research and public advocacy.
- Equip lawmakers and leaders with the knowledge and resources to uphold our nation's founding principles.
Together, we can have a profound impact on the future of our Republic. Please consider donating today to support our ongoing efforts to preserve the Constitution and protect the rights of all Americans.
