Dear friends and allies,

We are reaching out with a volunteer opportunity. The Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota is looking for a bilingual English and Spanish-speaking volunteer interpreter for a court representation project. The event is December 9, 2024 at 1:00PM at 1 Federal Drive, Fort Snelling, MN.

ILCM is seeking a Spanish interpreter to help facilitate conversations between attorneys and day-of clients for the American Immigration Lawyers Association's court representation project. The court representation project connects AILA attorneys with unrepresented clients at their first court hearing to help them through the process. The volunteer interpreter needs to be fluent in both Spanish and English and be comfortable with some limited legal language. The volunteer interpreter would not be interpreting during the court proceeding. Please reach out if you are interested or have any questions about the event.

Sincerely,

Lily Cooper

Volunteer Coordinator/Intake Specialist
