John,
Our strength is rooted in our togetherness—an unbreakable thread of resilience, courage, and love. On this Transgender Day of Remembrance, we hold close the memory of those we’ve lost and the legacy of the trans and nonbinary trailblazers who fought for our right to exist and thrive—especially Black and Trans women of color whose contributions built the foundation of the LGBTQ+ movement. We gather to honor friends and family, remember their resistance, and to celebrate the joy that keeps us going.
Every trans person deserves to live a long, vibrant, and joyful life. Yet too many in our community face daily discrimination, violence, and barriers to basic needs. These realities can feel overwhelming. Together, we can confront these challenges with love and action, supporting each other and building a future where every trans person is respected, valued, and free to live authentically without fear. |
Through organizing programs like our Transgender Organizing Narrative Shift (TONS) project, we honor our community by shifting hearts and minds. Guided by the lived experience of trans people across the nation, we’re building a powerful movement together.
In this work, joy is not just a reprieve—it is resistance. It’s okay to rest. It’s okay to unplug. And when you do, know there is a community ready to catch you, ready to uplift you, ready to remind you that you matter deeply.
From the Southern hills of Appalachia to the shores of the Pacific Northwest, we are connected. We are powerful. We are unstoppable.
With love, solidarity, and hope,
