70% of the people slaughtered in Gaza have been women and children. The biggest single category of victims is kids between the ages of five to nine years old. And now, aid groups are sounding the alarm that mass starvation is imminent.
38 days ago, the U.S. government told Israel it had 30 days to increase the flow of humanitarian aid into Gaza, or risk losing military aid. And Israel ignored it.
Then the Biden administration announced that Israel will face no consequences. If they’re not going to do anything, we will.
Bernie has introduced a resolution to halt $20 billion of U.S. weapons sales to Israel and finally force the Israeli government to stop the slaughter. The vote is happening TODAY and will be the first time Congress votes directly on blocking an arms sales to Israel.

A coalition of humanitarian groups warned this week that “Israel not only failed to meet the U.S. criteria that would indicate support to the humanitarian response, but concurrently took actions that dramatically worsened the situation on the ground.”
Despite the aid groups’ assessment, the U.S. government held a press conference announcing that it would not limit arms transfers to Israel. It’s a moral outrage. And the terrifying thing is that it may only get worse.
Netanyahu and his cabinet have made it no secret that they’re thrilled with Trump’s victory. In his last term, Trump supported the expansion of settlements and turned his back on a two state solution. And this week, Israel’s far-right Finance Minister ordered preparations for the annexation of the occupied West Bank, hoping that the incoming Trump administration will let them get away with it.
We have to do something NOW. And Bernie is leading the way with a path forward to end our government’s backing of Netanyahu’s devastating, immoral war.
