Who would lose coverage if enhanced premium tax credits expire?
If Congress does not extend enhanced premium tax credits (PTCs) after 2025, 4 million people would become uninsured—nearly 2.5 million of them in states that have not expanded Medicaid under the Affordable Care Act—and the number of uninsured would increase by 16 percent.
