Good morning, folks!

Ever since I launched my campaign for governor on Monday, I’ve been looking forward to hitting the road to meet with New Jerseyans across the state, and yesterday I did just that. Let me take you on a tour:

We started our morning in Paterson with Mayor Andre Sayegh at Eva’s Village – a nonprofit that does incredible work providing resources like housing, health care, and food to New Jerseyans in need. We discussed the challenges folks in the community are facing and how we can cut through red tape to create solutions.

Then, we drove down to New Brunswick to meet with LiUNA union workers who are building a state-of-the-art cancer treatment center. I’ve always been proud to stand with organized labor — and as governor, I’ll always have their back.

Next, we visited the Red Bank Community Health Center to speak with health care providers and advocates who shared their concerns about the need to expand access to affordable and reliable care. I know that health care costs remain far too high for New Jersey families, and as governor, I’ll fight to ensure everyone can receive the care they need and deserve — without breaking the bank.

Finally, we headed down the shore to Atlantic City for a visit to the Firefighters Memorial and capped off the day with a beer alongside members of the New Jersey Firefighters’ Mutual Benevolent Association — the state’s largest firefighters union!

In the Navy, I was taught that leaders listen — and that’s what this campaign is all about.
