John, it's World Children’s Day – and today, we’re calling attention to the overwhelming need to protect every child’s right to a safe and hopeful future, no matter where they are or what they’re going through.
From severe hunger and poverty in rural America to violent wars in Gaza, Lebanon and Ukraine – millions of lives are at stake at this very moment. And with the climate crisis creating new emergencies and access to education slipping further out of reach for so many, there's never been a more urgent time to take action than right now.
In 1919, our founder, Eglantyne Jebb, became the first to make the bold declaration that all children have rights. Since then, as the world’s leading organization for children, we’ve dedicated over 100 years to ensuring kids everywhere are healthy, educated and safe.
But as conflicts continue to destroy towns and cities, climate crises intensify and hunger persists in poverty-stricken communities, Eglantyne’s vision is far from realized.
Thank you for showing up for children when they need it most.

P.S. Do you want to increase your gift’s impact this year? Many employers will match their employees’ donations. These matching gift programs can help Save the Children support even more kids in the United States and around the world. Yet each year, an estimated $4 billion to $7 billion from these programs goes unclaimed.
