Throughout 2024, we supported 80 pro-choice women candidates from 23 states + 1 U.S. territory against their extremist, anti-choice opponents. While we are quite concerned by the results of the presidential election, we wanted to share the good news of exciting – and important – wins from the 2024 election cycle.

Across the country, many Her Bold Move candidates won their elections, including:

🗳️ Ruwa Romman for the Georgia State House

🗳️ Quantá Crews for Arizona House of Representatives

🗳️ 44% of our winners were women of color

🗳️ 47% of our winners came from abortion ban states

🗳️ Almost ALL of our winners shattered a glass ceiling with their victory, including Emma Curtis, who will serve as the first openly trans City Councilmember in the entire state of Kentucky!

Additionally, abortion rights won in Missouri, Nevada, New York, Colorado, Maryland, Arizona, and Montana. This election proves once again that most Americans believe abortion should be accessible and legal. Any legislators passing abortion bans are doing so against the will of the majority of their constituents.

Our candidates dealt with sexism, misogyny, sexual harassment, and even death threats on the campaign trail. They stayed in the fight because they knew how desperately the women and girls of our country need their representation in government. At Her Bold Move, we believe that the fight must continue.
