Last week I was shocked to hear that the Post Office plans to close 32 branches across London. As a Liberal Democrat representative in the London Assembly, I speak to dozens of people across London every week and let me tell you now with no uncertainty: when these post office branches close thousands of people and small businesses across our city will lose out.
If we are going to save our post offices, I am going to need your help.
Post office branches are an essential public service. From pensioners accessing money, businesses sending out stock, and visitors going to change currency, they serve many, many purposes for our communities.
At a tough time when people are already struggling with the cost of living, the closure of so many branches across the city will make life more difficult for thousands of people and small businesses. That's why me and my London Liberal Democrat team have started a campaign to keep our post offices open.

I know that, if we work together, we have the power to protect our community post offices.
