Our economy is in crisis. More than 33 million Americans have lost their jobs, and 7.5 million small businesses are at risk of closing permanently.

The consequences of the shutdown have been serious and dire...and Ted has been leading the call to reopen our economy.

Every day that the American people remain locked out of work means greater economic devastation for families and hard-hit businesses. For weeks, he’s been urging the states’ governors to let the data guide their decisions, and begin to reopen their economies with common-sense health and safety precautions in place.

Now, a number of states – including Texas – are doing just that.
