It’s going to be a different kind of long weekend, friend.

The weather is warming up, but the new realities that we’ve all been adjusting to in these past two months mean that many Canadians won’t be spending the holiday weekend the way we normally would – to say the least!

Even as we stay further apart, we hope this weekend gives you the opportunity to stay connected with the people who matter most to you. The safety and wellbeing of you and your loved ones is always our top priority, so in this note, we’re sharing some of the latest updates about the Liberal government’s work to keep Canadians healthy, safe, and supported.

If possible, we hope you find a moment to do something you deeply enjoy this weekend: whether that’s cooking something new, sprucing up a garden, catching up on a favourite TV show, reading a good book, or calling a friend or a loved one just to check in. And if you’re an essential worker who is spending the weekend on the frontlines, we are all tremendously grateful for everything you are doing to keep Canadians safe.

We’re all in this together, and wishing you an enjoyable holiday weekend,
