Nothing will stand in the way of Trump’s mission to dismantle the Affordable Care Act -- not even a public health crisis that’s killed more than 86,000 Americans.

The Trump Administration has announced that they plan to move forward with their lawsuit to overturn the Affordable Care Act, which threatens to rip healthcare from millions of American families and eliminate protections for people with pre-existing conditions.

If the court sides with the Trump Administration in overturning the ACA, this will be our new reality:

- Insurance coverage for over 24 million Americans: ELIMINATED
 
- Protections for 130 million Americans with pre-existing conditions: GONE

- Medicaid expansion for 17 million Americans: SCRAPPED

As the COVID-19 death toll rises above 86,000, and more than 1.4 million Americans have become infected with the virus, Trump is doubling-down on his politically-motivated obsession with terminating the ACA. If he succeeds, he will leave millions of Americans defenseless against the public health crisis gripping our nation. We cannot let him win.

Trump’s decision to slash funding for open enrollment, support of junk insurance plans, and pushes to privatize Medicare have all cost Americans their insurance. Seriously -- over 7 million Americans lost healthcare under Trump even before the COVID-19 crisis hit the United States.

Now, with Americans losing their jobs and employer-based health insurance by the tens of millions, Trump STILL plans to scrap our entire healthcare system without a plan to replace it. 

For millions of American families, knowing that they have the insurance they need to care for themselves and their loved ones if they get sick is the only thing keeping them afloat. For Donald Trump to rip the rug out from under them now isn’t just cruel -- it’s dangerous.
