Dear John,
All people should be able to live in peace. Yet, as long as the United States is supplying weapons to Israel, our government is supporting the genocide in Gaza and the killing of over 43,000 Palestinian people. In total, the U.S. government approved the sale of over $20 billion worth of new weapons to Israel over the last year. It's time for this to end.
Senator Bernie Sanders has introduced a set of resolutions expressing congressional disapproval for the sale of tank shells, mortars, and missiles to Israel. Three of these bills, S.J.Res 115, S.J.Res 111, and S.J.Res 113 are expected to come up for a vote tomorrow. By voting for these JRD’s, Senators can send a strong signal to the Biden administration that Israel will be held accountable for violating U.S. laws designed to prevent U.S. complicity in atrocities.
