Always keep an eye on Mitch McConnell.
In the midst of a crisis unlike anything humanity has faced for at least a century, Mitch McConnell is pushing for the Senate to give businesses immunity from liability even if they fail to take reasonable steps to keep workers, patients and consumers from getting sick.
That’s right, Mitch McConnell wants to let companies get away with dangerous conduct during this pandemic and its aftermath — even if it costs lives and slows down the recovery.
Tell Mitch McConnell:
Stop trying to exploit the coronavirus emergency to let Corporate America get away with wrongdoing.
The “conservative” playbook is transparent:
Step 1:
Disingenuously exploit a crisis to attack essential health and safety laws, consumer protections, workplace regulations, civil rights laws, environmental policies and other safeguards that limit the damage Big Business can inflict on Americans, our public health and the planet we live on.
Step 2:
Restrict people’s right to have their day in court, even when corporate wrongdoing injures and kills Americans. Without the fear of being held accountable, too many businesses will cut corners. More people will get sick, and more people will die.
Mitch McConnell and his Big Business puppet masters think we’re all nothing but chum for corporate sharks.
Add your name to tell Mitch McConnell that you, your family and your fellow Americans are not expendable.
Thanks for taking action.
Stay safe.
