Thanks to a decade of deep organizing and activism throughout the grassroots left, Democrats now control 35% more state chambers than they did in 2016. That means that nearly half of all Americans will continue to be protected by at least one Democratic majority in their statehouse.
The work we’ve done together over the last eight years has put us in an even stronger position to fight back against a second Trump administration – and there’s still more we can do.
This year, Dems broke the GOP supermajority in the NC House and WI Senate, and kept control of the PA House and MN Senate – thanks in no small part to the candidates we supported together. That work, along with all our electoral victories and organizational power-building over the last eight years, means we are more powerful and better organized than we were in 2017.
John, the antidote to anxiety is action. We are already gearing up for critical state races that are happening in Virginia in 2025. Will you take the pledge to continue building progressive state power with Sister District and our community of 90,000 volunteers and activists?
With determination and hope,
Sister District
