Derek Tran initially took a +0.01% lead with 36 votes. He now leads by 102 votes. That’s how close this race is.

We’ll be honest with you, our team at the California Democratic Party has pushed over our expected field budget to keep our ground operations running past Election Day to ensure every eligible vote is counted in this race.

We’ve been working to correct errors on ballots (aka “cure”), and this narrow count proves that those efforts are absolutely critical.
