Dear John,

Today marks 1,000 days since the full-scale war in Ukraine began, a harsh milestone for thousands of displaced and war-affected families who continue to face unimaginable challenges. Since the start of the full-scale invasion, we have stood alongside families from Ukraine, providing vital support. But the need remains urgent as we are approaching winter.Your support can help deliver vital aid such as shelter, cash assistance and essential supplies to help families throughout the winter months ahead.

Viktoria and her child from Odesa, Ukraine in 2022

Viktoria and her children fled Odesa, Ukraine in 2022. She couldn’t stay in her home anymore; her children were terrified by the constant sound of explosions.

The family found safety at a Refugee Accommodation Centre in neighbouring Moldova, in the capital city Chișinău.

“The conditions here are all very good. I like it very much. I am happy that I happened to be in this centre, I was lucky.” Viktoria said

People like Viktoria and her young family are still concerned about the coming winter. Temperatures in Moldova often drop well below freezing in the winter months, leading to harsh storms and deep snowfall. Families need more than simply roofs over their heads. They desperately need cash assistance to help pay for items like heaters and thick winter clothing to keep the family warm and well throughout the winter months.

$96 Can help to distribute winter boxes to a family containing blanket, sheets, towel and kitchen utensils.

Your support could provide a lifeline for people like Viktoria this winter. Please help us reach them before temperatures plummet.

Thank you.
