Patriot,
Unlike the generations before them, Gen Z wasn’t raised with stories about the horrors of Communism. This generation was born after the Berlin Wall had already fallen. They never saw movies or the news where the Soviet Union was the bad guy.
And that’s a problem.
In a recent survey of the “Report on U.S. Attitudes Toward Socialism, Communism, and Collectivism”, as many as 1 out of every 3 Gen Z deem “Marxism” worthy of support.
If Gen Z lived under Communism, do you think they would still support it?
I started the Dissident Project so high school students could hear personal accounts of the horrors of socialism from myself and other speakers from around the world who lived through it.
My wish is that no one ever lives through socialism like I did.
Socialists have been gaining ground because they make emotional arguments, and we lose with facts and logic. We need emotion. And that's why it's so important for someone like me to tell my story.

What’s even worse is that some of the next generation are being lied to about socialism. They think mass murderers like Ernesto "Che" Guevara are heroes.
I didn't read this. I saw it. A six-foot-tall poster of the socialist revolutionary Che Guevara was on a wall of the classroom I was visiting at an American public school.
I was shocked! It's unacceptable that mass murderers like him are glorified in any school.
But I saw this as an opportunity. I was able to debunk this for the students and tell them about the crimes of socialist regimes, including those by Che Guevara.
A live testimonial has the power to go beyond the transmission of information.
We are able to make an emotional impact, catch students’ attention, tell them personal stories about life under socialist and other authoritarian regimes, and allow them to ask follow-up questions to our speakers.
That’s why the Dissident Project sends our speakers to high schools across the country in person.

The consequences of socialism are much harder to ignore when students are face-to-face with someone like me who has lived through it. Instead of denial, they are curious and ask questions because they trust our firsthand accounts.
Our speakers have reached thousands of high school students with their stories and given them a once-in-a-lifetime experience that will stick with them for years to come.
In just two years, we have completed 115 talks reaching 20,000+ students.
Our growing roster of 12 speakers share their heroic stories of escape and finding a new home in America.
You can help the Dissident Project speak at even more schools and events this year.
By donating today, you can help us send trained speakers to high schools at no charge. Your donation helps us share our experiences and tell the next generation about the reality of socialism.
