Huge news, John:

In a long-awaited win for the millions of people who ride the subway every day, the pause on congestion pricing has been lifted.

New Yorkers will finally see less traffic, cleaner air, and accessible, modernized subways that get us where we need to go on time.

We’ll explain more in just a moment, but first: Will you consider pitching in just $2.90 — the cost of one subway ride — to Brad’s campaign for Mayor? [[link removed]]

After Governor Kathy Hochul indefinitely paused the congestion pricing program that was set to go into effect this summer, it looked like our shot at a modern, truly accessible transit system was derailed.

That’s when Brad got to work to save congestion pricing.

Earlier this year, he announced two new lawsuits challenging Governor Hochul's congestion pricing pause alongside a broad coalition of lawyers, plaintiffs, and advocates. In September, the Governor’s motion to dismiss the lawsuits was denied.

Now, Governor Hochul is lifting the pause — and it couldn’t come at a more urgent time. Subway signals that haven’t been updated in decades — and in some cases, centuries — will be updated. The frustrating delays we experience too often will be alleviated. New elevators will be installed so that everyone can use public transit.

John, if we don’t get congestion pricing in operation before Donald Trump becomes President, we’ll lose $15 billion in critical transit investments that we’ll never see again.

As Mayor, Brad will continue championing accessible subways, less traffic, cleaner air, and robust public transit for all New Yorkers. Please consider making a contribution of $2.90 to our campaign. [[link removed]]
