Hi John,
Leading up to the election NIAC surveyed over 4,000 Iranian American voters and 3 out of 4 said preventing war with Iran should be a top priority for the next administration.
Here is how we are working to achieve the goal of stopping war with Iran under the Trump Administration.
Leading the Discussion on No War with Iran Under Trump
In an op-ed this morning, NIAC President Jamal Abdi analyzed reports of a meeting with Iranian officials and Trump-ally Elon Musk to prevent tensions from spiraling into war. Is this a signal of Donald Trump’s potential pivot toward diplomacy in a second term, despite his hawkish first-term policies?
"[T]o hear Trump tell it, he would have had an Iran deal with just one more week in office. He even said he told Biden's team to quickly seal an agreement with Iran because he "handed (the Biden administration) a country that was ready for a deal" but that they didn't know how to do it," Jamal writes . "Now, Trump will get another chance."

Organizing with the Broader Anti-War Coalition
NIAC Action is organizing in support of a historic vote on a Joint Resolutions of Disapproval (JRDs) to block offensive arms sales to Israel. Senators Sanders, Welch, Merkley, Kaine, Schatz, Warren, and Van Hollen have all voiced support. NIAC Action organizers and volunteers have played a key role with our pro-peace allies in advancing this vital anti-war effort, including rallying 95 organizations [[link removed]] in New York to demand Senators Schumer and Gillibrand support the JRDs and stop “ the unchecked flow of American weapons financed through my tax dollars. ”.
" As a Jewish Iranian-American… I do not want to see one more American, Israeli, Palestinian or Iranian suffer under death and destruction abetted by the unchecked flow of American weapons " said NIAC's Etan Mabourakh in Middle East Eye [[link removed]] . “ We’re trying to appeal to basic foundational principles: enforce U.S. law, protect our interests, and uphold standards when providing munitions and tank shells to a country. ”
Growing in 2025
NIAC is leading the fight to end U.S. support for endless war and prevent war with Iran. We are meeting with key officials and lawmakers, surveying our community, building solidarity with the broader grassroots movement, and charting a path forward under Trump. But we need your support – we rely on the support of people like you to do all of this. Can you make a contribution to our work today to ensure we can keep building momentum and win?
