Gov. Justice announces groundbreaking for Prime 6’s manufacturing facility in Fairmont; Shark Tank star Kevin O’Leary to join celebration on Friday
CHARLESTON, WV — Gov. Jim Justice announced today that Prime 6, a leading innovator in sustainable wood products, is locating its new manufacturing facility to Marion County, and the $35 million investment is expected to create 75-100 jobs in North Central West Virginia.
To celebrate, there will be two public events on Friday, November 22, featuring special guest Kevin O’Leary, entrepreneur and investor from Shark Tank.

Community Town Hall
What: Kevin O’Leary and Prime 6 leadership will host an event at the Marion County National Guard Armory to discuss the company’s mission, provide networking opportunities, and accept on-site job applications. Don’t forget to bring your resume.
When: 5:00 p.m.
Where: Fairmont National Guard Armory
201 Artillery Dr, Fairmont, WV
“This investment is a shining example of West Virginia’s growing and strengthening economy, and how our state has caught the attention of the world,” Gov. Justice said. “Companies from across the globe are seeing the incredible opportunities here and choosing to put down roots in the Mountain State. I couldn’t be happier to welcome Prime 6 and Kevin O’Leary to Fairmont and celebrate this exciting milestone with them.”
Prime 6 is renowned for its unique approach ([link removed]) to upcycling wood waste, transforming it into high-quality products for the hospitality industry. All of the company’s products are USDA certified.
“Prime 6 is thrilled to bring new job opportunities to Fairmont while advancing our mission to create sustainable solid fuel solutions,” Oron Franco, COO of Prime 6, said. “Our new facility is a testament to our commitment to innovative, environmentally conscious manufacturing and community partnership.”
“This is a sign of the great things to come in Fairmont. We at the City are still pushing forward with our plans of recreational development and opportunities, but the arrival of a manufacturing facility in our backyard will diversify our opportunities,” City Manager Travis L. Blosser said.
While the original location for the project was announced ([link removed]) in Upshur County during the West Virginia Chamber Business Summit, it was ultimately deemed infeasible due to environmental challenges that would have required extensive and costly remediation, delaying progress significantly.
Both events are open to the public. Community members are encouraged to bring their resumes for immediate job consideration at the Town Hall.
