Dear Friend,
We are Lou and Nancy Stremick, grandparents to Ella, a 19-year-old (adult!) who has cystic fibrosis. Like all grandparents, Ella and all our grandchildren mean the world to us, and we would do absolutely anything for them. With GivingTuesday quickly approaching, we wanted to share an exciting announcement with you. For GivingTuesday, we will be matching your donation, dollar-for-dollar, up to $250,000.
Our granddaughter, Ella, is kind, courageous, and as determined as they come. Since Ella’s diagnosis, the CF Foundation and the CF community have become extended family to us.
From Great Strides walks to galas and virtual events, we’ve shown up in support of not only our granddaughter who fights this horrible disease, but for everyone with cystic fibrosis. Innovative treatments have been transformative for many people with cystic fibrosis, but our work is not done. We are still losing precious lives to CF every day. While we know Ella has been one of the fortunate ones, we know that our luck could change at any moment.
Ella has big dreams. As she headed off to college this year, we’re so proud of everything she has accomplished and how she has not let CF hold her back or define her.
