President Biden Has a final Opportunity to do right by human rights during the lame-duck session Dear Email, The 2024 election results have sent an unequivocal message: The Biden administration's policies on Gaza have led to a significant loss of support among key voter groups, culminating in a huge defeat at the polls. Communities across the nation—particularly Arab and Muslim Americans, alongside a broad coalition of young and progressive voters—chose not to support Vice President Harris because of the administration’s blind support for Israel’s genocide in Gaza. Now, President Biden has a narrow window to act decisively or risk going down in history as a president who greenlit and fully supported a genocide—earning his moniker as “Genocide Joe,” a war criminal who brought destruction not only to Palestinians but also to his own party here at home.  The failure to address the situation in Gaza not only alienated a vital segment of the Democrat’s base but also risks inflicting generational damage to the party’s standing—paralleling the political shifts that occurred in 2001 when disillusioned voters felt compelled to abandon the Republican party that, at the time, no longer represented their values. Join us to urge President Biden to take immediate action during this lame-duck period: Halt All Military Aid To Israel Continuing to support actions that violate international law undermines U.S. legal standards and moral authority. Compel a Ceasefire in Gaza Use the full weight of the U.S. to demand an immediate and lasting ceasefire. This aligns with resolutions supported by the United Nations Security Council and is essential to ending the humanitarian catastrophe in Palestine.
